Malta-licensed online poker room Pokerari.com has announced that it would be the first site to offer qualifying tournaments for Events 49 to 53 of the upcoming the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2008 in Las Vegas.
The newly launched site stated that, even though WSOP Main Event qualifiers have gained a huge amount of popularity over the last few years, poker players are starting to realise that the odds for winning a $12,000 package aren’t very large, especially for those with lower bankrolls.
”Pokerari.com has stepped forward to fill the niche and has started offering online qualifiers for WSOP 2008 events 49, 51, 52 and 53,” said Toby Clarke, Spokesperson for Pokerari.com.
“The fact that these side events have a buy-in almost ten times smaller than the Main Event gives players reasonable odds for winning the package even if they enter the lowest, $1.10 satellite or one of two weekly freeroll-type satellites.”
Pokerari.com said its WSOP qualifiers would run every day before culminating in a $100 Grand Finale taking place on June 1.
”So far Pokerari.com is the only online card room offering satellites to these popular events and we are planning to send at least three players to this year’s WSOP in Pokerari.com colours,” said Clarke. |
