Major online poker site Bodog is offering a series of qualifiers for the prestigious £10,000 ($20,000) buy-in World Series of Poker Europe tournament in September. The inaugural tournament last year was won by 18-year-old online sensation Annette Obrestad, the youngest ever WSOP bracelet winner.
Bodog will be offering daily qualifiers with buy-ins as low as $1; this is less than 0.1% of the full buy-in for the tournament! These miniscule qualifiers will culminate in a tournament guaranteeing two seats on September 7th. The package offered includes a £10,000 tournament seat, return flights, car service, luxury accommodation, spending money and exclusive Bodog clothing and gear. Each package is worth nearly $25,000.
'We're excited to award our online qualifiers a prize package that allows them to live it up in London like they've already struck it rich, even before the first cards are dealt,' said Morris Mohawk Gaming Group CEO Alwyn Morris. 'We had an incredible run at last year's tournament with one of our online qualifiers, Matt McCullough, finishing third and we're hoping to see Bodog back at the final table again - this time taking home the bracelet.'
McCullough fought his way through a tough 620-player field to become the last US player and eventually finished in third for $766,674. |
