The new Asian Poker Tour recently crowned a winner in their first leg, the APT Philippines. David Saab outlasted the field to take the top prize of $280k. The APT are proud to announce that their champion will return for another slice at a much bigger pie – this time the APT Macau, which will have a prize pool of at least $1.5m and $500k to the winner.

This is sure to attract many of the world’s top poker players and thousands more besides – the prize pool currently is a guarantee given by the APT but is likely to be much larger.

The APT Macau will be held at the Galaxy StarWorld Hotel and Casino in Asia’s “gambling Mecca”. The buy-in is $5,300 but several smaller satellites are being held at many of the world’s leading poker sites including PartyPoker, Titan and PKR.

After the Macau leg the tour will move to South Korea and Singapore. Officials are optimistic about the APT’s future following a thus-far successful first year.
